I love this little white cat! This cat was hand carved and hand painted by Margarita Sosa in the famous carving village of San Martin Tilcajete, Oaxaca, Mexico. It was carved out of the traditional copal wood, an ecologically sourced wood whose supply is controlled by the Mexican government. It is painted on a white background, with accents of green, orange, blue and black. The design is accented with bright pops of metallic gold, in Margarita's signature style. We just love the quality of the painting, the whimsical addition of the metallic gold for a pop, the sense of motion in the tail, the adorable face and the sweeping curved tail in the air. This cat wood carving would make a perfect addition to your Oaxacan Wood Carving collection, or the perfect gift for any cat lover out there. The tail is removable for safe shipping, and the carving has been signed by the artist.
