A great gift for any coyote lover out there. This howling coyote is done with a yellow and green floral pattern with burgundy and black spots, that contrasts nicely with the gorgeous deep blue background. So cute! The artist is Jose Olivera Perez, a cousin of the Master Woodcarver Jacobo Angeles. Jose is a true artist in his own right, with his own distinct style. His house is located on the outskirts of the village, and in this location he is much closer to nature. You can see the inspiration of his surroundings in his work. It is rare to see such a sense of movement in the carving of an economical piece, but you can really see Jose's carving skill in the extended upturned neck that gives the appearance that the coyote is howling at the moon, the protruding hips and the fluffy tail. The tail is removable for safe shipping, and the piece is signed by the artist.
